-I own an lg blu ray home theatre system (hb905pa), but have recently aquired a 3d tv, and am looking for a 3d player. What I want to know is, if I buy a 3d blu ray player, and attach it the the theatre system using the hdmi cable, will it still work as 3d? I assume so, but I don't know if routing it through a non-3d device would prevent it from working. Here is how you would connect the system. Connect the 3D blu ray disc player directly to the tv using 1.4 HDMI cable and then connecting an optical cable from the tv and the other end to the home theater in a box. This of course, providing that your home theater has an optical audio input. Some home theater in a box are not flexible for any audio input at all. You also connect the home theater to the tv using what id provided for output, normally HDMI cable. When you watch 3D it will send an audio signal to the home theater, which you will also turn on. Hope this will help you out.
It should work, your home theater system is for sound not picture. As long as it's a 3D blu ray then you should be good. Your attaching it to your theater system to listen to it thru surround.
