-My speakers have a 5.1ch or aux input. I've heard it cannot b connected to tv (not with surround sound anyway) but was wondering what cables I would need to connect it through my 360 elite.It would seem that your speakers are powered being they have a aux input ? If that is the case then you can come off the left and right line output into the speakers. If they are not powered then here is your other option.
Well certainly your best bet is to hook it up through a receiver or integrated amplifier so you can power them properly, but if you just want stereo then here is your options. If the TV has speaker outputs you can hook the left and right main speakers to the left and right outputs of the speaker outputs, if it has them. The 360 elite i think is a monitor only TV has no tuner or audio inputs. If ether of them do you do however have to make sure the amplifier in the TV can power these speakers properly. Most TV's do not have high current amplifiers built in so you must use speakers that are both reasonably efficient and have a stable impedance around 8ohms.
