-years ago i was changing my disc and my player picked up the radio chatter from the fire engine passing my road it never did it again though. That should be impossible because of the following reasons:
Your DVD player does not have a radio antenna.
Your DVD player does not have a radio decoder or frequency selector.
Your DVD players sole purpose is to convert a bunch of 1's and 0's on a plastic disc into sound and vision.
Its FAR more likely that your TV picked up this signal than the DVD player as sometimes TVs do give themselves cross channel interference. And its more likely that the analogue receiver of the TV is what picked up this signal.
Its a freak occurance that the Fire engine was passing at the same time your DVD player was idle and that the radio signal in use happened to be of a frequency that your TV could directly display, as well as broadcasting at the correct time.
Changing the radio frequency, the time of the radio transmission, the road used, or the AVI channel the TV was using at the time can all affect whether or not this happens again.
Chances are this exact set of criteria for this to happen again is incredibly unlikely to happen again.it sounds more like your t.v picked it up and not your dvd
