How can i make my 2.1 pc speaker to 5.1?

-Buy a 5.1 sound card if you don't already have one and a set of 5.1 speakers.If you have a 5.1 card and want 5.1 sound you will have to buy a set of 5.1 speakers. Why is that? The connections used for 5.1 sound are incompatible with the speakers you currently have.
